International

We understand international competition is key and we want to encourage all our athletes, coaches and officials to travel internationally where possible. This page is to assist you in the requirements needing to attend international competition.

Therefore, if you wish to attend an international competition, please read the process below.

Please note the following:

  • If Boxing Australia is sending a team to an event you wish to compete at, your clearance will not be approved.
  • If Boxing Australia is not sending a team to an event you wish to compete at, you are more than welcome attend that event. However this will be a full user-pay trip. No monetary funding nor Australian team gear will be provided by Boxing Australia.

International Clearance Process

If you are planning to travel internationally to compete, coach, or officiate, please ensure you have obtained the relevant international clearance from Boxing Australia's office. This includes all club and state teams.

Details Boxing Australia requires for a clearance are:

  • Name of those travelling
  • Dates of travel
  • Competition details
    • Name of Competition
    • Date of Competition
    • Location of Competition
    • Invitation of Competition
  • National Federation Name

Step 1: All clearances are to be sent via your State Association as part of the 1st approval step.

Step 2: We ask that this information be then emailed to Boxing Australia's office at info@boxing.org.au no later than 14 days prior to the travel date. If received within 14 days of travel date an administration fee of $50 will be applied and must be paid prior to clearance being processed.

Clearance will be processed within 5 business days.

Step 3: Once approved a copy of your clearance will be provided to your state and the National Federation of which the competition you attending.

Coming to Australia

If you are coming to compete within Australia, please ensure you provide our office with a copy of your International Clearance from your National Federation to info@boxing.org.au.

International Events

Boxing Australia recieves invitations to international events throughout the year. If we receive them and we are not sending a team we will list the event below for you to consider attending.
