Boxing Australia are holding a Gold Level coach education course at the AIS, Canberra, Feb 13-16, 2025.
The Gold Coach Course is the next level in the Coaching Education Framework that enables coaches to improve their knowledge and understanding of athlete development and becoming an international level coach.

Background
Boxing Australia in 2024 reshaped the Coaching pathway introducing the bronze, and silver course across Australia, we now seek application for the gold course (International coach). This gold coaching accreditation will be becoming the pinnacle of the Boxing Australia Coaching Accreditation Framework. Once rolled out fully, all Australia coach representatives will be required to obtain a Gold coach accreditation, with the Silver to represent State Level Coaches and Bronze to represent Club Coaches.
Selection Criteria
We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI)
· Currently BAL Silver level coach accreditation
· Has been regularly active in the National team activity the last 4 years (Olympic cycle)
· Active in the State and National Pathway programs
Eligibility
1. Be a registered member of their state.
2. Have a current working with children card (or equivalent).
3. First Aid Certificate
3. Hold a Current Australian Passport.
4. Have completed the Anti-Doping, Child Safeguarding, Competition & Manipulation online learning with Sport Integrity Australia.
5. National Police Check
6. Coaches must have current Boxing Australia’s accreditation (Silver).
The cost of this course is $1000. An invoice will be sent to you once all has been confirmed and must be paid in full by the date set on the invoice (as stipulated under clause 2.13 b of the Selection Criteria).
If accepted, all coaches will need to arrange their own transport to the Australia Institute of Sport.

- Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction
- Competition & Manipulation
- Signed Coaches Code of Conduct. This will be made available at the commencement of the course.
