IOC and AIBA

Boxing Australia views with the deepest concern the decisions of the IOC Executive Board at its meeting on 4 February regarding AIBA.

Ted Tanner, President of Boxing Australia and a Vice President of AIBA and member of its Executive Committee, says:

‘I have requested AIBA’s Interim President, Mr. Rakhimov, to obtain from the IOC what action it requires of AIBA and to bring these requirements to AIBA’s Executive Committee as soon as possible for action.

‘Remaining on the Olympic Program is of the greatest priority for Boxing and the IOC’s concerns must be immediately addressed and removed’
