Boxing Australia congratulates Mercedas Taaffe-Cooper on the launch of her new Book ‘Elevate Your Life’.
Merc has also developed the CounterPunch program which trains facilitators to deliver a mental fitness program that uses boxing as the chosen medium of delivery.
Counterpunch facilitators can direct their young clients into local boxing clubs should they wish to continue boxing once they complete the CP program (e.g. at school or through youth agency activities) thus providing a feeder system of new members for clubs and Member Associations.
In the absence of any club in the facilitators area, CP facilitators are actively encouraged to undertake the level one boxing coach qualification through the relevant BAL Member Association and establish new clubs to facilitate on-going participation for CounterPunch clients.
CounterPunch is not an alternative boxing coaching program. CounterPunch partners with BAL to provide an additional evidence based psychological curriculum as a resource tool for everyone involved in boxing.
