SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Currently holds
(i) A Level 1 Coaching Accreditation with Boxing Australia under the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme and
(ii) Working with vulnerable people registration, or state/territory equivalent
2. At least 2 years Coaching Experience
3. Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge, skills, experience and knowledge of relevant regulations, including:
- AIBA Competition & Technical Rules
- AIBA Scoring System
4. Demonstrate the following personal and organisational skills:
- Understanding of training programs and athlete monitoring
- Good communication with athletes, coaches
- Organisation and debriefing of medical support staff
- Influence and monitoring of athlete behaviour, and
- Report writing
5. IT & computer skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook or other email applications
- Ability to use web browsers; and
- Ability to operate a video camera
6. People management skills including
- Preparation for and participation in athlete and coach meetings
- Good anticipation of problems
- Good decision making
- Good consultation
- Good communication; and
- Good coping skills
7. Good coaching skills including
- Professional approach to leading training sessions
- Ability to follow direction of Team Head Coach
8. Professionalism
- Exemplary appearance, attitude and behaviour including respectful use of social media
9. Suitability
- Advocate of and conformity to BAL promoted best practices
- Support of policies and direction of BAL
