2018 Youth Oceania Championships

Between the 28th of May and the 2nd of June 13 athletes and 5 coaches represented Australia at the Men’s and Women’s Youth Oceania Championships held in Apia, Samoa.

The team performed extremely well, coming out of the tournament with only one lost bout between the 12 competing boxers. Australia finished the 2018 Youth Oceania’s with 11 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze.

Unfortunately, Monique Suraci found out she had no opponent upon arrival in Samoa however she and all gold medalists from the Youth Oceania Championships have now qualified for selection to the Youth World Championships to be held in Hungary.
