2024 Paris Olympic Games - Nomination

Boxing Australia would like to congratulate the Australian Boxing team on a successful campaign at the recent 2023 Pacific Games held in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Mr Phillip Goodes, President of Boxing Australia stated ‘the Board of Boxing Australia are very proud of the success this team had at the games, with twelve boxers taking out Gold and one boxer winning Silver after a tough fight. They should be proud to have come this far and excited to see them progress on the international stage. A successful campaign of all 13 boxers.’

Congratulations goes out to those athletes who have qualified a Quota spot by name for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Mr Goodes added ‘a huge achievement for these athletes who have qualified for Paris, at this was the first time in over 10 years that an Australian Boxing team was able to compete for a Quota spot for the Olympic Games within our region.’

Under clause 6.2 of the Nomination Criteria Paris 2024 for Boxing, we confirm that the only remaining Weight Category available for Paris 2024 qualification under the Qualification System and nomination under the Nomination Criteria is the Men’s 92kg division.

National Selection Panel members are Bronwen Knox, Nic Tsioulos, Jamie Pittman, Geoff Peterson, Santiago Nieva and Andrew Pratley.

Key Dates

  • 15 February 2024 - Nomination Date (following the allocation of Quotas at the 2023 Pacific Games)
  • 14 June 2024 - Nomination Date (for Athletes who qualify a Quota by name at the 2024 World Olympic Qualification Tournaments)

Expression of Interest - Olympic Coach

Boxing Australia Limited (BAL) is seeking EOI for the position of one (1) coach of the Australian Boxing Team for the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024. The Selection Panel will rank the applications in the potential event of additional accreditation becoming available. 

Please ensure you have thoroughly read the EOI before applying.

Application closes Wednesday 7 February 5.00PM AEDT. Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
