BAL Welcomes New Board Members

The Boxing Australia Board met for the first time on Wednesday night following the 2020 Annual General Meeting and the election of two new Directors.

Ms Shelley Watts OLY and Ms Sarah Quilter have joined the Board for 3 year terms having been elected at the 2020 AGM. Shelley Watts brings an athlete's background to the Board, having been a regular member of the national team between 2011 and 2016, winning Gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, representing Australia at the 2016 Olympic Games and multiple World Championships. She now works as a lawyer based in NSW while also being involved in various capacities with the Australian Olympic Committee. Sarah Quilter brings a range of experience in the sporting industry, having worked with judo, basketball, table tennis and volleyball with particular focus around participation initiatives and digital engagement strategies.

At its meeting on 2 December, the Board co-opted Mr Phillip Goodes and Mr Johan Linde OLY for a further 1 year term. The full Board membership includes:
