The camp consisted of 6 sessions and all athletes showed significant skill progression over the course of the camp. Matt Read delivered the program to the group, which included conditional sparring, footwork, defence, attack and general technique. This was also an excellent opportunity for coaches in attendance to get a sound understanding of the coaching principles and techniques and how to employ them in their home gyms.

Overall the camp was very successful. All athletes enjoyed their time and gave brilliant feedback at the completion of the camp, acknowledging their own personal progression and were very happy with results. All coaches in attendance were very enthusiastic about taking parts of the program back to their own respective gyms. It is anticipated that the next BSA Regional Development Camp will occur at some time during December and the location is yet to be determined.
