Call for Expressions of Interest for TID and Development Coach Roles

To be eligible for appointment for the 2017 -2018 National Development Program and the National Talent Identification Program, applicants must submit a written application addressing their suitability against the selection criteria.
Applicants should identify which of the two programs they are interested in and a cover letter is to be included stating your claims against the position.
A CV should be attached detailing your qualifications and experience both within and outside of boxing
Job Description:
Development Coach
The state development coach will organise and run state based training camps for developing boxers within their respective state to a format provided by BAL and overseen by the national Regional Development Coach. The State development coach will be required to keep a record of the number of athletes and coaches attending and taking part in each training camp.
TID Coach
The state TID coach will organise and run state based TID camps for the best performing boxers in that state/territory to a format provided by BAL and overseen by the National Development Coach. The state TID will be required to maintain records of athletes’ attendance and performance and provide feedback to the national Development Coach.
Selection criteria.
- Hold a current BAL coaching qualification (Preference will be given to Level 2 Coaches).
- Possess a working with vulnerable people registration card, or state equivalent
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for the development of boxing under the guidance of BAL national coaches
- A demonstrated willingness to learn and continually strive to improve knowledge and understanding of coaching
- Professional approach to running training sessions and coaching boxing skills
- Demonstrate professionalism and leadership qualities
- Exemplary appearance, attitude and behaviour
- Promote and encourage positive attitudes in support of BAL
- Vocal advocate of and conformity to BAL promoted best practices
- Support for the policies and direction of Boxing Australia and a good knowledge of BAL/AIBA rules and regulations
