COVID-19 Update 18 March

The Australia Institute of Sport (AIS) is suspending public activity on the Canberra campus until 27 April, in an effort to create the safest possible training environment for Australian athletes & to mitigate the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

Effective today (18 March), public-facing facilities on the AIS site will be closed to the broader community. This includes the AIS Aquatic & Fitness Centre, the AIS Visitor Centre including public tours, shop, café, the AIS Arena, the AIS Track & Field Centre and other facilities. Public events and community sporting camps will also cease.

Due to this closure, Boxing Australia has been forced to postpone the Easter Camp, due to be held at the AIS 14 - 17 April, indefinitely.
