Volunteer Position

Australian boxing has a rich history of many indigenous athletes representing Australia. We are a sport with the greatest representation of indigenous athletes at the Olympics.

Boxing Australia is seeking a motivated individual to join our newly established Indigenous Advisory Committee.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

As a member of the Committee, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing Boxing Australia’s Reconciliation Action Plan, deliver and discuss the best support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons in the boxing community across Australia.

All members of the Committee will provide direct contact for Indigenous athletes to go to for support and connection.

Selection Criteria

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent
• Have a strong understanding of Pathways Sport
