Kalpori Cup, Indonesia

From the 3^rd - 9^th July a team of Australian boxers travelled to Manado, Indonesia with coach Kevin Smith to compete in the Kalpori Cup. The group included Harry Garside, Jack Bowen, Ella Boot, Skye Nicolson and Taylah Robertson.

Australia came away from the tournament with 1 gold medal, 2 silver and 1 bronze. Jack Bowen was unfortunately eliminated in the preliminary rounds, defeated by Jill Mandagi from Indonesia. Ella Boot defeated Retno Aprislestia from Indonesia to take out gold in the 64kg division. Harry Garside (64kg) and Skye Nicolson (60kg) went home with silver medals, following Finals losses to Japan and Thailand respectively. Taylah Robertson secured a bronze after going down to Lin Yu-Ting from Taipei in the semi-finals.
