Masters Boxing Committee Forum

Please see following notice from a group with the view to form a Masters Boxing Committee. BAL is supporting this group, and co-opted Director Jack Pappas is convening the Forum that will be run to discuss the Masters Boxing Committee. 

‘In conjunction with Boxing Australia, we would like to announce that an Open Forum is planned for inclusion to the Masters Boxing Tournament at the Pan Pacific Games to discuss the ongoing promotion and advancement of Masters Boxing in Australia, and to discuss the formation of a Committee to facilitate assistance, improvement and success of future planned events.

We invite all participants and Boxing enthusiasts to attend the forum to be held 10:00am-11:30am Saturday 10 November in the upper auditorium of Kirra Sports Club, Binya Avenue, Coolangatta prior to the commencement of the final session

Format of the meeting will include

- Opinions from the floor as to future implementations for the improvement of Masters Boxing in Australia

- Discussions relating to a yearly International event to be held within Australia

- Discussion relating to the formation of a Committee, and expressions of interest, working in conjunction with Boxing Australia for Masters Boxing

- Ideas relating to the funding, improvement, locations and inclusions for future Tournaments

- Discussions relating to participation, communication, promotion and awareness

- Discussions relating to connection and interaction with other International Masters organisations, clubs and tournaments

- Discussions relating to current restrictions, agendas, problems and inhibitors currently existing within Masters programs and events that require improvement

We hope that all attendees and interested parties will forward comments for review and consideration

Convener of the forum will be Mr. Jack Pappas from Canberra who represents Boxing Australia as a co-opted Director to the Board.

We also would welcome input, comments and topics for inclusion and discussion from any parties that cannot attend, and would be pleased to receive and query or comment whether able to attend to not by way of email to john@jmbs.com.au prior to the forum in November.
