South Australian TID Program

On the 28th of April, from 7-11am, a Boxing Australia TID program was delivered at the Northside Boxing Club in South Australia. Jamie Pittman, National TID/Development Coordinator, travelled to Adelaide to assist BSA TID Coach Phil Goodes in delivering the TID content.
The hospitality of the Northside Boxing Club was exceptional, with the club providing fruit, food platters, drinks, and tea and coffee throughout the weekend.
Coaches in attendance were:

Rod Davis |

Matt Read |
Westside/Regional Development Coach |
Daniel Peace |

Bradley Peters |

All attending coaches contributed significantly and provided good feedback to the athletes. The sessions were well presented and managed within the limited timeframe. Given the early start time athlete's attitudes and respect were excellent, with lots of chatting and positive interaction.
Jamie Pittman’s style of delivery was well accepted by the athletes who followed instruction and implemented it in practice. It was great to see athletes taking advantage of the opportunity and actively asking questions throughout the morning session.
At the conclusion of the session Jamie and Phil discussed the importance of recovery and periodisation. Again, the athletes were very actively involved throughout.
Following the TID program, Phil stayed on to assist Matt Read, newly appointed Regional Development Coach, with the delivery of a Regional Development Camp. Matt did an outstanding job working alongside Phil and Jamie and will be a great asset to Boxing South Australia in this new role.
