On the 16th March 2020 Boxing Australia (BAL) was made aware of a complaint made by Dr Patrick Golden against an Official of Boxing West Australia (BWA). The complaint was initially made to BWA but referred to BAL.
The complaint was made against Derek Avia who is a member of BWA, a member Association of BAL, an official registered with BWA and a registered coach. As a result of this Mr Avia is bound by and subject to the Regulations for the Determination of complaints and disputes adopted by BAL on the 26th May 20161.
