WA 2019 Individual Athlete Program applications opening soon!

The Western Australian Institute of Sport is pleased to announce the application process and policy for the 2019 Individual Athlete Program (IAP). Click here to access the IAP policy, application information and scholarship timeline.

The WAIS Individual Athlete Program provides services and support to Western Australian high performance athletes who are not scholarship holders with a WAIS operated sport program. The IAP contains both a scholarship program (Individual Athlete Scholarship) and a grant program (WA Connect Grant).

Boxers are encouraged to apply for the 2019 IAP. Applications for sports within the summer Olympiad open on Monday, September 10.

Eligibility for the IAP is dependant on the below:

• The athlete must be an Australian citizen.

• The athlete must compete in a sport and discipline on the Commonwealth Games, Olympic or Paralympic event list.

• The athlete must be nationally categorised by their National Sporting Organisation.

• The athlete’s applications must be endorsed by their National Sporting Organisation.

• Athletes must train at a training centre approved by their NSO, either in Australia or overseas.
