World Olympic Qualification Event Cancelled

The IOC Boxing Task Force has advised that the World Olympic Qualification Event, slated for June in Paris, has been cancelled.

The 53 quota places assigned to the World Olympic Qualification Event will now be allocated based on the BTF Rankings, with 1 athlete per division, per continent being awarded a quota to Tokyo.

Which Australian boxers will be awarded a quota under this system is yet to be advised; while BAL, AIS and CombatAUS staff are getting in contact with boxers in the squad today.
