Boxing Australia are purposing to send a team to Golden Girls Championship, Sweden 2025

Background

Boxing Australia is offering opportunities, targeted toward to female boxers in the elite category, Coaches and Managers, focused on developing talent and producing future Elite Australian representatives.

Team Selection

We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested personnel wishing to be considered for Golden Girls Championship, Sweden 2025 from 31 January – 2 February 2025

·       Elite Female boxers’ gold and silver medallist at the 2024 National Elite Championships.

·       Coaches / managers that attended the 2024 National Elite championships and have had experience in the State and National Pathway programs.

·       Has an active passport.

·       Nominations will be forwarded to the National Selection Panel for review and selection.

It will be a user pay opportunity for athletes and coaches. Boxing Australia will book all travel logistics and arrangement for the event. An invoice will be sent to you once all has been confirmed and must be paid in full by the date set on the invoice (as stipulated under clause 2.13 b of the Selection Criteria).

Eligibility - Athletes

Athletes must meet the following criteria:

1.         Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current Australian Passport.

2.         Have competed in the 2024 National Elite Championships, Canberra, ACT. (priority will be given to Gold and Silver medallist)

3.         Age / Year of birth.

-          Elite 1985/2006 (19/40).

4.         Weight category nominating to compete in.

5.       Experience you must have competed in total number of bouts (7)

Eligibility – Female Coaches/Manager/RJs

1.              Be a registered member of their state.

2.              Have a current working with children card (or equivalent).

3.              Hold a Current Australian Passport.

4.         Have completed the Anti-Doping, Child Safeguarding, Competition & Manipulation online learning with Sport Integrity Australia.

5.         National Police Check

6.              Coaches must have current Boxing Australia’s accreditation (coaches only).

7.              Hold a Bronze or Silver coach accreditation, desirable Silver (coaches only).

8.              R/J to hold current BAL 3-star accreditation.
